WILD CARPATHIA

If you have ever thought about joining one of our tours to Romania or simply wondered what the country is like as a destination, we strongly recommend watching "Wild Carpathia" on the Travel Channel (available on Sky Freesat). It is being transmitted on Friday 16 December at 2100 and again on Saturday 17 December at 1430.

The programme lasts an hour and, having seen it when it was originally transmitted a few weeks ago, we can vouch for the fact that it gives an unbiased account of the "last unspoiled wilderness in Europe".

The villages featured are visited in our study tour run in association with Wilmslow Guild from 29 June to 12 July 2012 and will also be included in our own programme in 2013. Meanwhile Western Romania and the Danube Valley form the basis of our escorted tour from 15 to 26 May 2012.
